Super Jet DJSA race 650 class standup build

The DJSA has a 650 race class for stand ups. We are going to build a 650 Superjet race ski. We chose the Yamaha over the Kawasaki SX due to a better pump and hull design. As you can see from the pictures it is a bare hull. We need to gather the knick knack parts as well as the motor and pump. Lets knock it out.<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Congrats, a couple of very fine looking squares!

Do you guys prefer that style side sponson over tubbies? I see the RN has them also...

The ski in the background "121" has 3DR sponsons. My brother likes them alot, he competed at the World Finals and did well against 800 SXRs( as you can tell the number plate background is white = pro level ) , but Keith does not make them for the old hulls. I contacted Chris at MAAC racing and Keith could not find the old mold. The build up ski has home made sponsons, very cheap to make. We just installed a pair of Blowsion Destroyers on a squarenose SJ yesterday. We took the ski out today. The ski handles like a slot car. The hulls sets very quickly and the ski turns effortlessly and there is no bounce upon deacceleration. I did not bring out the radar gun to see how much slower the ski is now. It seems to be several miles a hour slower on a 45mph 650 SJ. I need to do more testing on the ski. Also this week we will install a set of Destroyers on a 98 SJ. A ski with more hp to test the sponsons. If you have more questions I'll do specific tests on a particular ski.
