i was thinking of getting a squarenose superjet and was informed that they should be reinforced especially around the engine bay area. What i was wondering was if roundnoses were made out of the same weak material or if they needed to be reinforced.
two layers of 17oz biaxial right around the sn pole mount enough for flatwater?
I would fill the holes, reinforce with at least 2 layers, then redrill the holes. That should be enough unless you really yank on the pole while riding.
I put an xmetal pole on my sn without reinforcing at all at first, but you could watch the entire mounting area flex and move while just raising and lowering the pole. I have 2 layers now and it is pretty solid, but I would do more if I rode harder.
