Freestyle Docking or Ski Stand Help Needed

I moved to a location where the lake really doesn't have good beach area, most of it is fairly rocky but it does have some nice docks and such. I used to park the skis on a beach stand but that's a little tough now so if anyone has any suggestions on a way to dock a ski easily or has some floating dock ideas it would be great if you could share.

If your ski is only in the water when you're riding it, an anchor is the easiest and simplest solution. I'm not sure but it sounds like you own a lake property, in that case get something more permanent.

How about a jet dock? That’s the ultimate. Check your local Facebook marketplace. I’ve found some great deals over the years.

Good idea but I don’t own the dock so I doubt the city would appreciate me attaching something. I’ll check it out though for sure.

I can’t anchor as it uses a scupper and would probably sink. I was however thinking of getting one of those thick floating mats and make some attachment points, hooking it to a dock and maybe pulling it up on that.

One of the foam mats isn’t buoyant enough to keep it out of the water. Test out your scupper by anchoring it and keeping an eye on it during the day. I’ve had skis with scuppers that don’t sink. My latest problem is my front hood seal, so I can’t leave it anchored if the waves are splashing over the front. I just hop it up onto our swimming platform during night. 003E56AF-EF9D-4224-BE50-154E3FB823D6.png

Yeah, I have been using just some indoor/outdoor carpet on the wood dock to pull it up on. Looks like I may be purchasing a dock!
