double decker trailer mod?

Hey guys, lets see pics of trailers you have turned into double decker haulers. We have to find a way to get an additional 2 skis to the lake without needing another car. Thinking we should just turn my 2 place into a 4 place. I want some inspiration from those of you who have done it. The pic is of the same style trailer, although mine has the larger tires and is set up for 2 skis. Our riding group is composed of engineers, machinists, and welders. if we cant put something together, who can?

wow man, that's pretty nice. my trailer is a little smaller, but I think with some reinforcement, it could definitely be done. How do you load/unload the top skis? just brute force? I guess if you have 4 skis at the lake you would have four guys, so lifting wouldn't be a huge issue.

It looks like you are a hour away, I will trade my trailer for yours with cash on your end, save you bunch of time!

I got it set up right now to have two stand ups on the top.

I would be tempted man, but I decided I'm tired of hauling every elses crap. It was an idea I was throwing around until I started to realize I always have to provide everything for my friends. If they are too lazy to drive their vehicle to the lake, then I don't really want them there. I would have to drive an extra 20 minutes out of my way to pick their ski up every outing just to convince them to come ride. Screw that. I appreciate the offer. Still considering a late feb ride? Im hoping its supposed to warm up a tad. this -12 BS is nonsense.

I think a 5-6' would be smarter than a 48", but I can say I have not had any issues with mine being too top heavy, even with two stand ups on top.
Wait until a car pulls out in front of you and you have to make a quick turn, gets even more interesting when your trailer tires clip a corner.......

I think we are driving down to Pismo for the spring break freeride, we space on the trailer if you want toss your ski on we are just spitting gas for the drive down per ski on the trailer... I not sure if we got room in the pick up but from Denver airport to a town just north of Pismo I found a round trip flight for $330. 3.5 hours of flighing would be a better than the 18 hour drive. Pismo would be a heck of a lot warmer than pueblo too! lol

Yeah its a 10 acre gravel pit pond in my front yard... there are 3 other houses on it and I'm the only one that touches it! Your welcome to come up and ride it this summer.

mine... works good. Top holds 2 but I only have 3 skis. Raises/lowers with a electric winch and onboard battery which stays charged while towing.

I'm from around the springs area and looking for some people to ride with this summer!
How did I not see this post? Sorry man! I live farther up north but I ride almost every weekend. If you are ever in this area hit me up, or if I head down there i'll let you know. Im assuming you saw the mile high freeride thread right? we'll be down in your neck of the woods.

Thanks! Actually about to sell the thing haha time to sell a couple skis to afford the BOB... haha
