I picked up one the other day thinking I wouldn't get much use out of it but it would be nice to have.I could not have been more wrong.I am really wondering how I got along without this thing this long now.I got the 400 series with the handpiece attachment, this thing is awesome.

Yeah I started to buy a rotozip, but this is so much more usefull,I did some cutting on the sx yesterday with the spiral bit and the handpiece,I know of no other tool that would have done that job so cleanly and precisly and believe me I have several different die grinders and air saws.

I would agree man. The tool does rock. When I went to do my footholds, I'm not kidding you that I litterally had the holes cut out in 1 min (both sides) and foam carved out for them both in another 5 - 10 with a wire cup wheel.

really? I found it to be lacking in cutting speed. I just use an angle grinder for stuff like that now.

I burned up a couple of Dremel tools. I don't think the motors like dust too much. I recently replaced it with a "like" tool from Northern Tool which had the flex adapter with it. I haven't used it yet but it will get it's share of use as the others before it, God rest their souls.

Some of the stuff I do is very high prcision cutting, this thing rocks for that, also You can't port a reed valve 550 engine with a die grinder the transfers are wayyyy to small for that, this toll did an awesome job on my transfer ports.

I have had mine and heavily used mine for years, without problem. The brushes on the motor wear out, but those can be replaced.

How have you made it as long as you have without a dremel. I remember when my dad got his whent hey first came out. I was in love. Although...air tools are much cooler

get the right angle attachment too. Porting time in TN. Just finished one and got to polish it up. Could not have done it w/o the right angle attachment. I wish the long azz 1/4" shaft porting bits werent so friggin high $$$, cuz they would be the shizzle.
Anyone got a lead on long porting bits @ reasonable prices? I woild like some right and left handed ones.

I have burnt a few out back when I was using them to cut out foothold holes and stuff (before AIR compressor was purchased) but I was rough on them.

Here's a kit http://www.sa-motorsports.com/cat/p7.aspx for small engines. You can look on their site for a distributor.
