Custom/Hybrid Drive shaft for krash 148mm setback pump in waveblaster 1

Hi guys, I'm trying to find the right drive shaft for this combination. Can anyone recommend one off the shelf or do I need custom. If custom, what length would it be.

Secondly, I'm assuming the pump just bolts in to existing holes and doesn't actually have to be relocated further back. It appears to fit in stock location.

Not sure if other setback shafts are compatible. Why not just order a shaft and bearings from krash?

Pump come with a shoe that fits in ok. Only thing missing is a shaft.

Be sure to tell him it’s for a setback. But I’m pretty sure he doesn’t do custom length setbacks.

Since you are in Australia, have you tried calling Krash? A good percentage of there hard goods dont follow yamaha standards. They did there own thing and it makes swapping parts from a Krash ski to a yamaha based ski a bitch sometimes. You will probably just have to do it old school and measure it yourself if Krash cant tell you. Not sure if there is a better way but I measure spine engagement by loading up the driveshaft splines with the thickest grease I have just enough to fill the grooves in the spines. Then slowly install pump (with pump seal) and pull it and measure how much grease was pushed. adjust engagement as needed and then double check.

The problem is that I think he sold his old shaft so he had no way of checking Spline engagement. My suggestion is to mount up the pump without a driveshaft be sure to include all seals and spacers and wear rings. Measure with a wooden dowel welding rod or other straight rod from the inside of the hull midshaft housing mounting face/ firewall back to the face of the center hub in the pump. This distance will tell me what I need to know to make your shaft.
