Im trying to get the drive shaft off and cant get it to slid out of the bearing on the firewall. Whats the trick to getting it out. Is the a c clip or something im missing. Thanks for the info.

Take the bearing carrier out of the boat, take the whole thing over to your vice, and carefully beat the shaft out of the bearing. No clips or anything, they just like to stick. That carrier is like the only bad thing on Octanes...

Come off of what? Drive shaft just pulls out of it. There's a shaft in the pump that threads into the prop.
