Super Jet dry pipe water jacket question

i have a riva dry pipe that i think mabe toast, when i run water into the bottom inlet it should ONLY come out of the top exit correct? mine has water going inside the chamber and coming out the top exit

I got a Factory dry pipe and when I took it off, I ran air compresser through it to understand it better. Here is how it went....From pump the water would enter #1 then through the walls it would travel to #2 and #3, from #2 you run a hose to #4 with a an option of water filter and water control valve because that water goes into the exhaust and water box and out the ski, now the water from #3 goes to the pisser and out (I put a adjustable valve on that line to control the temp of the pipe).
Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

It would look like this with water and hoses, correct?
Riva should be same, right?

i have water comeing out of the chamber at the manifold end not at the pisser, my pipe only has one jacket near the manifold, i was told its mabe a type 8 and that they were notorious for cracking

it's not a type 8. it's prolly a type 4 and yes. some do crack.

this is the pipe in question, doesnt look like a type 4 to me
