I'll be installing dual carbs for the first time on this new engine build - all of my previous engines were 61x/61x. I'm doing a mock up of the engine now to get a parts list together. I'll be using an R&D intake for dual 44 carbs. It looks like the carbs will be installed with the throttle shafts inline with each other which I assume is typical for this application.
My case has 2 pulse ports - one in the back pointing up and one in the front pointing toward the gas tank that is currently blocked off. Do I need to use both pulse ports? Do both carbs need a pulse line or can one carb pump fuel for both? Should they share a pulse line? I have an extra fuel pump cover with a pulse line that has 2 outlets, is that useful here?
Also, if anyone has pics of efficient/neat routing of the fuel and pulse lines I would like to see them
