Dual ski bed rack

Wanted to build a rack so I could haul 3 skis without a trailer to Daytona .Two on rack and one on hitch hauler with cart . Rack sits on bedsides and held in with clamps.Rack is built out of 3/16 and 1/8 angle besides the winch mounts. Made the front bunks taller so the skis overlap about 3” so I could also use this rack on the floor of my moto van (Ford e350) . Used a 2500lb electric harbor freight winch with wireless remote. Plan to run it off spare ski battery I usually carry with me . Might try and run it off rear 7pin trailer plug . Originally built ramp out of 1.5x2x1/8 aluminum with 16 2”wheels but wasn’t strong enough and bent . 2nd ramp is way over built and doesn’t even flex . 2x2x1/8 steel .

Winch plate welded to 2” od tubing . Slides into piece of 2”id tubing and hitch pin holds it in .

so the wheels werent stong enough? thats why you went with the wood and slides? the slides work good enough to pull the ski with the winch?

Wheels were fine . The ramp it’s self bent after I cut all the relief holes for the wheels .

Ahh alright. I was thinking of mounting wheels on top of my ramp that’s why I was asking
