Hey guys I live in Thunder Bay,Ontario Canada. I’m looking to see if anyone would like to unofficially start a 2 day ride weekend on the shores of Lake Superior in the Duluth area I’ve heard there’s a nice sandy area nearby with a public park. Where I am there are only a few stand ups and I’d like to get together and ride with guys from the above noted area if there are enough of you in the area. Maybe a Saturday and Sunday bbq talk smack have a few beers. It’s only a 3-1/2 hour drive for me. I know here where I live on Lake Superior the waves get better August and September. I’m assuming the same for this area. Let me know what you guys think. If it’s possible or for this Canadian to just stay home.

We... “tcjetpilots “ have a freeride event at the end of August. Super awesome. V wakes, party at night lots of fun look the group up on Facebook. 2018 over 200 stand ups. I’d love to ride the surf in Duluth one day but barelyhave time to make it to the local lake here in the twin cities of mn. Good luck! Tons of these guys love to go up there for the big waves.

That’s awesome. I was planning on the sortie this summer but was in the middle of a motor swap at the time so couldn’t make it. I hoping next year for sure.

That’s awesome. I have always loved riding Lake Superior and after riding in the ocean it’s so nice to ride the fresh stuff. Plus Lake Superior waves are closer together and a different challenge.

I’d prefer September some time don’t do as well in the cold as I used to. Getting older. but at this time as long as we can round some guys up and go from there.

My boys and I would be game. Only an hour and a half drive for us. Weekend either side of Labor Day would be about as late as we could make it cause any later will start to get busy with our week away for World Finals.
My boys are too young to drink bonfire beers but they can show us all how to ride.
Sounds like fun.

Id probably be interested in a ride around beginning of Sept. I rode quite a bit in grandmarais this last summer and probably will next summer if your ever up for a little riding

That’s only 90 mins away for me and grand marais is a great little place.

Yeah based on the wind report you’d want to try a few spots. There’s a sweet little campground up just north of Two Harbors with a small bay. If you had an East wind that would be sweet.
If you have a solid wind out of the North or N.E. That park point area is cool.

A bunch of us would be down to ride superior more!
