Dyno Sheets

I was thinking it would be a cool idea for people who have had their motors Dyno'd to post up the dyno sheet along with the list of modifications. It would be interisting to compare some of the many factors in building a motor, such as aftermarket cyls., porting, pipes, carbs, reeds, ect. I know not many people probably have dyno sheets but I figured it was worth a shot. So if ya got em post em up!

I had asked this a while back and got a response that not all dynos are put out the same numbers so I don't know what kind of replys you will get but I have my fingers crossed. I would love to read the list...

I do have a dyno sheet from a long time ago...if I can find it .. I pulled close to 520 HP and 650 Tq .... Ok ... not on my ski.. you cought me

Is there a dyno made for 2-smoke ski engines? Mabye one for motorcycles would work if you made a direct linkage to it.

:cheer: That sounds like a great idea! I would like to know some reel numbers on some different setups,......rev 1200, LPW Lamey PV motor, EME 1000, and Chucky's ADA motor! It would also be interesting to compare dyno sheets between a stroker cylinder and a flattop bigbore like what I will be running.

It couldnt cost two much to have a Ski Dyno'd. Factory Pipe Dynos all there products. If I was building MOD motors for the public, I wouldnt deffenitly want to play with some dyno tuning!

Lets see some Dyno poles!!!:Banane01: :arms:

It would be cool to put together a motor build-off!:purr:

Plan it for the next big Freeride Maybe?:cool2: Let some guys show off there work!

you can use any dyno to do the ski motors just gonna have to make adaptors unless the adaptors are out their to buy.I know paul has a dyno and ed from full spectrum but you could take a motor off of pauls dyno not change a thing and put it on ed's dyno and see different numbers.all depends on the dyno and how they have the brake setup ect.

just cause it has a pipe and some kinda port thingys

oh yeah, hp stands for 'hamster power', right?
it spun all those hamsters with one BRAP of the throttle!:slaphappy:

Good luck, I know my motor builder has one dyno and just sold his other...he is one of the few people who has access to this. He says that the dyno can say anything you want it to, it all depends on how you set it up. So in my opinion the readings might become total "pride" thing if they were on display.

From what I hear you can get the general #'s on paper and you should be pretty close!

A dyno would be great for tunning or for a pull off at a freeride. Especially if someone had the one that would test the motor still in the ski. But for tunning there is no comparison. You would know within a few moments that removing 2 screens from your air intake gives you 1 hp only above 6500 RPM... hypothetically speaking

Something else about dynos with skis, because most of our engines use wet exhaust, it's next to impossible to get the water pressure to reflect what you'd see in a ski.

Dynos are for bragging rights or serious testing/tuning IMO, nothing else.

BS aside...

I think it is legit to compare numbers to examine performance to cost ratio.

ex: Does that $500 manifold setup really give you that much of an advantage over stock?

But I do not think it's economically feasible, unless you have the resources... like Riva... to get consistent numbers (able to duplicate environmental and setup conditions)
