I have access to a cnc router and other machines to make gaskets. My cousin and I have been going through the hell with ebox's corroding and getting water in them. Of course the only fix I hear is get a new gasket and 1211. I want to make a reusable gasket, would love to be able to make a wire rubber gasket much like the reusable valve cover gaskets they have for cars, I am just not able to make those.
I have already made a line drawing for it, just need help with what would be a good gasket material that I could preferably cut or maybe stamp out if necessary.
Thinking of 3/16 to 1/4" material to make it rigid enough and reusable. Please give me as much insight as possible. Rebuilding 3 superjets and want to start making a few, just need some direction.
Thanks in advance, and if they work out, I will sell them for $10 and shipping once I feel that they are worthy. Free to whomever gets it rolling.
