E3 spark plugs ????

I tried them in my old 2003 F150 5.3L Triton. They didn't last long. I got about 1500 kms (937 miles) out of them and encountered multi-bank misfires. I put in new NGKs and problem solved...sort of. At least with the NGK plugs I could get about 4 months of run time out of them before that happened. Unfortunately the Triton...at least the one I had, was horrible for burning out plug cores. The coil over plugs were putting out too hot of a voltage and would melt the electrodes right at the porcelain below the bridge. I was able to return the E3s though and when I did the parts counter guy said the same thing about them. He had them in his Chevy Malibu and same thing happened. He had them swapped out with whatever GM uses...Delco I think, and never had the problem again. These just make me think of a different spin on the old Splitfire plugs which never took off either. I'm rather surprised to see these plugs still on the shelves to be honest.
