I have a 1993 Yamaha VXR pro I replace the CDI the solenoid starter the battery and I’m still not getting power to the other side of the solenoid or to the wires that go to the starter switch I need help anybody know?
Have you looked at your start/stop switch? You should have power going up to the switch on a red wire, through the lanyard button and then back down on the brown wire to your solenoid.
The starter circuit is not tied to the ignition in any way so it's actually fairly simple.
Check voltage at each of the points marked below and report back your findings.
Can you isolate the start/stop switch and check for continuity? Had a lanyard switch get water ingestion and the corrosion was preventing the entire circuit from working.
