Long story short is I had trouble with the bendix which exploded and now have no spark.
I visually inspected the stator (61x) while replacing the bendix and didn't see anything that stood out. No broken wires or damage to the faces of the coils so proceeded to bolt back together and now get no spark.
I've eleminated the s/s switch as that's easy but not the cause, as one would have figured.
I'm looking at the Tech FAQ thread linked below and have some newb questions. As that thread doesn't seem to elaborate on where the test is performed and my Clymers manual is m.i.a.
I'm assuming I need to check the leads at the ebox to eliminate any upstream issues with the wires, correct? Should the battery hooked up while I have to ebox open? Do I need to crank the ski at all or can I go ahead and pull the front cover apart while checking?
