elec prob?

so my ski runs great on the water..dosnt bog cut out or anything..smooth strong power all around...when i get it out of the water and rev it up to blow out the water it cuts out at about 3/4 throttle almost everytime..sometimes it dosnt do it but most of the time it does...its like its hitting the rev limiter but i have a protec modded cdi w/o a limiter...what could it be??..its really not a big deal as it dosnt affect my riding but im just curious..any similar experiences????..mabye a carb problem?

just runs funny...rough i guess you could say

but i dont think there is a limiter..it revs farther in the water than out

They al do this, even w/ MSD enhancer, you are hitting the limmitter when out of the water and not under a load and it will run like shiot past half throttle. All off do. You would blow it up otherwise. It is a good thing.

yea idk though..it seems like everyone elses runs crisper...(out of the water)
anywhoo i just wanted to make sure i wasnt beginning to have a problem thaty may be able to be nipped in the bud..thanks

your straight/ TL will rev higher and cleaner as will an enhancer, but they all break up at some point to keep it from over reving as it will do quick when not under a load.
