So I have two standups a 2003 SJ and a 1991 650sx. I haven't been able to ride either for two summers now. I did get the 650 out for a day or two but I blew it up (long story). Right now all I care about is having my SJ in top riding condition for next spring (live in MI). Bought it from my buddy who must have sank it at once point b/c after replacing the starter I noticed I was still getting the same issue (solenoid clicking on start). I go to open the electrical box and this is what I get (see pics).
The positive wire going to the sol was completely corroded off and was not making a solid connection. So few questions...
1. Should I replace the entire electrical box?
--- If so does that mean I will be getting everything that comes inside and spark plug wires, starter wire, etc.. on the outside?
2. Is there any site someone could refer me to that may have the entire setup?
3. What kinda costs am I looking at?
I'm starting to get into ski repair but I am still very much a n00b. I am just so sick of not being able to ride. We bought a 22 SeaRay Express Crusier last year and honestly the excitement I get on a boat doesn't even come close to a Ski. I moved out to Lake St. Clair with riding as one of my main reasons and I can't even do that. Any help would be awesome.
