But my issue isn't that I don't get spark, ski starts and seems to run fine. It's that if I'm holding the stop button and crank I'm getting a spark when the start is released even with the stop held giving me a false fire/start situation.
I've read about this and seems it's either the CDI or stator (pulsar coil). So I've retested the stator (61x) and I get 4-5vac from the white/red tracer, even while holding the stop. Ohms out good as well. So switched out my MSD with my brothers ski which runs fine and still get the same issue??? I'm seriously doubting both CDIs are going bad as his ran fine and even mine runs fine on trailer.
Other things I've checked/tried are running a direct ground to the ebox, bypassing the stop switch by directly grounding CDI white (to the SS switch) to ground, swapped the two whites on the CDI. Still get this random start release fire regardless.
Is there a way to test these MSDs? Else I'm at a loss here. Wanting some advice on what to check next before throwing money at this thing with a new stator or enhancer.
Thanks,
