email subscription

I've got 12000 unread emails, most of them are subscription notifications. I turned them off in options but that only stops new notifications. how do I get the old subscriptions from sending emails?

Go to subscribed threads, there is a link at the top for Empty Current Folder, that should do it.

I don't want to loose the subscriptions in my user cp. I just want to stop getting the emails.

if that will make the subscriptions disappear from my user cp, I'll let those go. eventually people will stop responding and I'll stop getting emails from those.

You are subscribed with e-mail notification, you have to unsubscribe then resubscribe with no e-mail notification. There is no way to do that easily on a bunch of threads that I know of.
