Freestyle Eme q8

Building myself a Q8 and i running in tons of problems
the problem im at know is the waterbox im running a j engine with a b pipe and the water box doesn't seem t fit in the hull.
What are other guys using?
Thanks Mark

The only other problem i can think of is to get to the flat water riding spot i have it's a bit of a ride so i need a bigger fuel tank. I have a stock 550 tank that i was hoping to use will the atp box fit with that tank in there or am i going to have to use a smaller tank?

I am running similar setup, found js550 will fit 3.25 gallons, or jaz 3gallons. Alot of guys run the cart tanks, but thy are too damn small 2 Gallons. Feel free to pm me with ay other questions

for some reason i cant send private messages, and unfortunatley i have a lot of questions
was looking in hull last night trying to plan everything out and noticed that there are 2 hooks in front of where the fuel tank goes and only one behind it and it doesn't look like it is going to be pulling down on tank
same problem with mount water box except there will be no hooks in the front
am i missing something or is that how it's supposed to be?
next problem i recieved a driveshft extension that won't allow the yamaha couplers to thread on so it seems its the wrong one but my concern is that it's made out of aluminum is that gonna be stong enough?
sorry to ask so many questions im just at my wits end with this thing
Thanks in advance

Xmetal water box fits perfect. I have a few for sale if you need one. Just remove the Tee, as you don't need it.

when I did my straps...

First time:

for waterbox: two coming from the single hook way up front to those two inserts installed by eme that you have in your pics.

for tank: another two straps from the eme inserts crossed over the tank and to a hook that i mounted on the stator cover of my motor. I also glued a piece of 25mm padding to the bottom of the tank then glued the tank to the hull.

was kinda "hacked" all togther, but surprisingly everything stayed in there tight.

I got sick of the look of this and eventually water peeled up the padding, so i re did the whole thing.

2nd attempt:

for waterbox: two coming from the single hook way up front to those two inserts installed by eme that you have in your pics.

for tank: I epoxied 4 inserts that i bought from mcmaster car using west systems w/ 404 filler, then a layer of carbon (2 in x 2 in square pieces)

much much cleaner look and better results.

so you ran the staps for the water box under the fuel tank?
these 2 hooks are on the engine side of the fuel tank, kinda fustrated with this was supposed to be simple parts swap from what i was told now seems like i should have bought one already done.

no mine were much further forward in the hull. pretty much a straight drop down from where the breather tubes are for handle pole.

i would just epoxy in your own inserts....
