Other engine loaded up after turning off/dieing whyyyy?

I have had this problem since last year and cannot figure out what is causing it. I am about to just buy new carbs.

every time after riding/running my ski on trailer or in water if it is turned off or dies when i go to start it back up it will be loaded up and typically i have to hold the throttle wide open while cranking then it starts up again and i have to rev it up to clear it out like it is loading up every time it is stopped..

things i have tried to fix this problem..
new carb rebuilds
new needles and seats
made sure everything was the same in both carbs

the motor is: 61x bigbore 85mm, dual aftermarket sbn44s, ada head 35cc domes, stock intake and reeds.

115 or 117.5 Pilot Jets
120 or 122.5 Main Jets
2.3 Needle & Seat
95 Gram - Full Silver Spring
Low Speed – 1-3/8 +/- ¼
High Speed – 7/8 +/- ¼

any thoughts????

A long shot idea but maybe the pressure in the tank is building while sitting and pushing fuel through your carbs. Try removing you gas cap between rides. I think tank check valves also serve as pressure relief valves.

Check valves hold pressure but allow air in.

Sounds like needle and seat to me. But dual 44's on a 61x sound like a lot of carb too.... :dunno:
Its been a while since I've messed with carbs but maybe decrease your N/S size and run larger springs?

Do you know what your pop off pressure is?

its a bigbore 62T/61x. I believe pop off is somewhere 22-25psi?

Like Swap said, check your popoff pressure, if under 25 try a 2.0 N/S

My ski does the same thing but its just a stock 61x with b pipe. Plugs look good nic n e and brown but if I stop riding for a few it will have to be held wide open to get it to start

Correct. The kawi check valves will release at about 2.5 psi. Not sure What pressure the Yamaha valves maintain.

Haven't had a chance to ride it yet. But, i replaced the 95g springs with 115g and it seems to help so i am thinking popoff was too low. Reeds are another thing i was wondering about bwcause they areare just stock metal ones

Do you have a primer? Check to make sure it isnt leaking. This happened on my superjet...it would dribble fuel down my rear cylinder. Im lucky it didnt blow my engine in two.
