Engine Shimming Question

I replaced my fx1 pump with a superjet pump. I got the pump shimmed perfect, midshaft installed. The engine originally had 1mm shims on only the pipe side of the engine. Since the midshaft is in the exact same place, should I place the shims in the same place on the engine? I tested with no shims and the 1mm shims and honestly couldnt really tell a difference

Did you shim the motor originally? If so and It was done correctly yes put the shims back in the same spot. Pump alignment has no effect on motor alignment. If midshaft did not get moved, nether does motor

What did you use to align the driveshaft?

I hope you used the cold fusion tool. No other way to say its right.

If you download the SN/FX1 manual pdf from this website and follow the pump alignment directions it will be right with just a strait edge and gauges.
