Engine sits too high

Hey guys,

I've been trying to get the driveline on my ROK aligned properly after my recent driveshaft / midshaft failure. I've aligned the pump / midshaft to perfection using a CF midshaft tool, so I know they're in good shape. My next task has been to align my engine to the midshaft (CF couplers).

The engine seems to be sitting about 2mm higher then the midshaft coupler. I've increased the size of the motor mount holes in order to move them away from the motor, but that only got me half way there.

Any tips on dropping the motor a little more without shaving down the mounts?
How close is close enough?

Thanks
-Rob

I'm trying to avoid replacing mounts (I already have a set of Rhass mounts on the ski). I'll try the bedplate trick, I never considered that.

Thanks

You can machine the bottom of the bedplates (surface that rests on the motormounts) or the top of the beplates (surface that the cases rest on). You may also be able to open up the bolt holes on the midshaft then shim the front ears of the pump to lower driveshaft.

I'm not sure what mounts they are, they are unmarked Rhass mounts. I have a set of SJ and a set of Couch mount's I'm going to compare them too tonight.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can get this all taken care of to hit the water for the holiday weekend!
