exhaust end cap removal???

I want to remove the exhaust end cap from the back of my ski and stand it up on its end for a week in an attempt to drain some water out of the hull before I defoam/refoam and returf it after xmas. I want to spend my holidays riding it & not sweating in the shed in the summer heat working on it. I know I wont get it dry, but I want to let gravity pull some of the water out if I can.
1. Is it as simple as drilling out the 3 rivets and popping the cap out?
2.Is the cap connected to the exhaust tube with weld or something permanent?
3.Is it a major hassle that will end up with a butchered looking hole in the back of my ski and not worth bothering with?

cheers for any advice.

Its welded on the tube drill the rivets out then then knock the tube out backwards from in the engine bay, the foam holds the water so you won't get that much out . It will just keep dripping slowly
