Experiance with lime green Hydroturf?

So im almost to the point of returfing. I would LOVE to use the Lime Green from Hydroturf but heres the ?.... Is there any real way to keep the original color. I had xft Holds with the green in it.. they went from lime green to an almost a Wheat kinda color...


Any ways to Keep it looking as lime as it comes?

exactly! thats how i was last year too. I need to some how prevent that

Maybe the peeps over at Hydro-Turf can give some idea if there is a way to treat it to prevent the loss of color

Not sure there is any way.. Sun KILLS it. I used it on my X2, that is garage kept when not in use. The first week I had it, it was on the beach for several days straight and there was already a major difference.
I love the look of it when it's new, but it won't last. If you come up with any method of keeping it in tact, let me know!

I am currently running orange waffle cut turf on my ski and I used 2 cans of Scotchgaurd fabric protector on the turf after I turfed my ski in Nov.-SO FAR-no fading. I believe the same would work with the lime green.

Does the Orange normally fade as bad as the Green is Notorius for fading?

Not sure, but I know it does fade.. I don't know if it's quite as drastic as the green. That scotch guard might be the trick!

I have royal blue turf so its not as drstic as orange or lime green but still want it to look good for as long as possible.

Gil, love you boat bro. That color scheme gives it a very tropical feeling and I cant stop looking at it. Surely up there as one of my favorite looking.

i know my red turf faded fast two weeks ov riding it was lighter and i cover my ski all the time

The orange is supposed to be the worst for fading according to HT. I would think red would be the worst.

So we are all on the same page.. None of us have prevented the green from fading

makes me not want to Rebuy green Hydroturf... IT LOOKS SOO BAD ASS FRESH THOUGH!

Ditto - mine turned mint green (gag) and then when it got really old it turned Mtn Dew yellow.

Well I called up Hydroturf a few hours ago. I told the lady on the phone about how the Green turf fades. She pretty much told me that no one has ever complained about the green and i was the first. She said the colors that fade terrible are the YELLOW, ORANGE, AND RED.

So I went on and on (due to I REALLY WANT GREEN TURF AGAIN!) and she said one of the Techs there would post up here on the X to take a look at EVERY one with green who has faded. ( I dont think she believed me when i said I am NOT the only one who has green faded turf)


I guess we will have to wait and see.... I hope Hydroturf will Help us out...
