While you are at it, you might as well put an Ashby Bracket on it.

Got to give @sinisterjosh209 credit, this build is going together well. Not only do they look killer but there are defiantly a few awesome things we already noticed about the Phantom hull that you just don’t notice until you start building it. First when sliding the steering and trim cables thru the bulkhead there were actually tubes. Not sure how many AM hulls don’t have the thru tubes for cables but we both got frustrated because we had to flip the KDX & Bot hulls over to get the cables thru the bulkhead because they did not have thru tubes. The extra 8oz of weight is a no brainer. Not sure why so many hull builders don’t do this as it saves time and frustration in assembly…. Then when we go to bolt the pump in. The hull inserts were dead nuts perfect. We had about 3/16 to 1/4” pump seal compression. We were just mocking up alignment with the cold fusion tool and the and the pump sealed so well we decided we did not even need to silicon it in. I was impressed for sure, the seal was just the right amount of tight….. And finally to the Midshaft, I ran out of time last night but @jo5hi3 noticed how the bulkhead is very nicely recessed so we will not have to go buy the cold fusion spacer. (@Matt Jones needs to upload a picture of that.) Typically when building a hull you run into things you have to go buy, not things that save you time and money. Can’t wait to see how the rest of this goes, defiantly impressed so far.

I can’t thank @jo5hi3 enough for letting me borrow his awesome driveline to get this hull on the water. And even more thanks for both @ jo5h3 and @Matt Jones for spending long nights in the garage to get this built the right way and still in time for the Carolina Beach Freeride that’s we are leaving for a week from today.

Heck yea! This hull is really sick, and the quality is outrageous. Cant wait to take this thing for a ride.

I still think you should let me put Orange and Black Waffle turf in the tray instead of plain jane black diamond :)

i think im going to put a 650 exhaust and all, stock pump, stock prop...... you know so i can really feel the hull....................................

I doubt it. I once read that you can get 200hp out of one those motors. Perhaps you should try a 550 instead.

I did my best to convince him. Even thou it was not needed it also would not hurt. But also not sure how long he's going to let me keep his drive-train in the ski so he may have other plans?

I've put together quite a few skis, i have only used silicone on a few. If the pump shoe is not quite square or you have a worn seal, then yes silicone is needed. But hey to each their own...... but i have yet to have a sealing issue, but there is a first time for everything.
