B-pipe's have a tendency to rub the inside of the hull. If the hull is heavily reinforced this problem is more noticable. About all you can do is clearence the ribs on the side of the hull and other places that the pipe may rub against to minimize this problem. Many aftermarket hulls are just a hair wider that eliminates this problem. Allot of enigneers will tell you that when dealing with tight tolerences there is a difference between how it fits on paper and how it fits in the real world.

Put a piece of turf between it and the wall (or in some cases, they rub on teh front of the motor mount). I bought a ski that had a 1" piece of Hydroturf underlay between the chamber and front motor mount portion of the bedplate.

If there is less than about a 1/4" gap anywhere, you can be sure that under power it will vibrate and rub.

you can also take a block of wood and "dent" the chamber to help clearance the pipe at key locations

thats what i need to do...i cant even get a piece of ht between the chamber and hull:frown:

flatten the ribs right there where the chamber is rubbing and then put a piece of turf on there. also for the front left corner of the motor mount i ground it flat where it comes to a point so that save me probably about 3/16 of an inch there. also....try rotating the pipe in the coupler just a bit. i was able to get some more room by rotating it just a bit.

I had to do that and put 3 pieces of turf under the waterbox to raise the stinger end of the exhaust to get the proper clearance between the chamber and cases.

At first I didn't even notice the chamber was rubbing on the cases and was more worried about it rubbing on the hull. After griding down the ribs and trying it again I realized I was also rubbing on the cases so make sure you check NOW for proper clearance between chamber and cases cuz taking the chamber in and out is obviously a PITA.

No need for a block of wood. Just use a harbor freight soft tip hammer works fine. Some where in factoy pipes directions says you may have to dent the pipe to fit.

Mine is a new pipe with ribs ground and just a Blowsion reinforcment kit and rubbed the hell out of my ski .A few good smack with a soft tip hammer worked perfect.

Rotate it w/ the couplers loose and you will find the "best" location.
If still rubs, remove it and dent it w/ a rubber mallet.
