Factory pipe problems

I have a factory limited pipe set up on my kawasaki 750sx. I have had problems with it for a while now. The gasket between the head pipe and manifold keeps burning up which causes the stainless bolts to rattle loose. Anyone else have this problem? I have also used a ton of lock tight on the bolts as well.

It's possibly the other way round - the bolts back out and the gasket fails.

I find that once bolts have rattled out a few times the threads have rounded off (this is possibly the case with the manifold threads, also). I would spring for new bolts. Also ensure that you use NEW spring washers (so it's bolt/spring washer/flat washer on the install) along with loctite.

Give that a go and see how it holds up.

Threads are probably damaged. I had one that was doing this once. What I did was modify the mounting bracket on the cylinder to get everything to line up better. This cut down on vibration and the threads never backed out again. I did use 100 Loctite also.

Common problem with them. I had two 750s and both manifolds did the same thing. Ripped the threads out of the manifold. Heli-coils did the trick for sure. Didn't have any issues after that.
