Factory pipe type 8 question

I have a type 8 I’m getting ready to run tonight, have been searching web and found minimal info about them, just wondering what others who have run this pipe thought of it? Any pointers/insight?

This pipe will work with heavy porting, ignition, carbs, etc etc.......... This is a mid to top end pipe....... Was not the best FPP produced....... Think they only made it for 1 year then came out with the Type 9
 
It's been discussed on here that the type 8 had perhaps the highest hp potential of the 02' era dry pipes because it's such a huge exhaust chamber. Not much low end but N.Rius was so good he didn't need that. I'm sure ecwi would benefit this pipe a lot.

Rius had a hand welded Type 8 in 00 or 01. I have a picture I'll post. it was cool looking.
The Type 8 came out to the public in spring 02 then quick after came the Type 9 in the fall.
Many got their Type 8 in 01. I remember racing the tour in 02' with a speedwerx pipe and many had the 8' to try
 
also - there are about 3-4 different versions of type 8's out there. Real short belly's, then ones that are +15mm, and then the final production version had a 41mm stinger rather than the 35mm stinger many were shipped as. I had at least 6 of these pipes and still have 3 today as ornaments.
