I know of one person that has been running without the front mount for a while now with no problems.
Not a great idea however, I just switched to the B on my RN, about the same power with a bit less top end.

I sent an old manifold back to them that was cracked and they replaced it for free. I would say yes if it is a factory or workmanship defect.

they warranty them at their discretion, if they haven't been altered or abused. i had both a head pipe and a chamber replaced for me free of charge.

They will offer a fair warranty for original purchasers of their product, but if you got it used all bets are off.
Both the pieces i had replaced i bought used. They never even asked if i was the original purchaser. They just told me to send it in and they would look at it and make a decision.

I've never seen anything in print that says they warrenty for life but I do know that every thing I've every sent them they have replaced with new, not repaired the old one (For free). Definately return the part back to them first, Unless it's been modified by someone else. I would never buy any pipe other than a Factory Pipe, there stuff is solid and there more than fair with broken or defective parts.

My pipe has been without the lower mount for years!! The lower mount seems to never fit right, it always seems to bind up. I have seen a few dry pipes with the lower mount cracked!! I ride flat water and rivers only.. In surf you woud want to use the lower mount.. I think??

I would have it welded if I were you. I would also do a in position fitup to make sure its welded in the correct spot.
