Filling nose area in on fx1

So I'm looking for some insight on how to fill in the nose area to make it flush on my fx1 where the stock purple plastic mounts over the hand pole bracket.

Was just figuring on using an epoxy resin thickened with a filler and pretty much just globbing it on and sanding. Is this the best way or what? Thanks.

Ya, you could do that but it might add more weight than needed. You could also fill mostly with light weight bondo type body filler, then do a layer of fiberglass over it like 1708 or some good mat.

If you do use some thickened epoxy, use some filler that is light weight and easiest to sand. I like the colloidal silica from West System the best.

collidical silica is great adhesive filler but is very very hard to sand. they make a micro light fairing filler #410 which is light weight and easy to sand. then add a few layers of glass to both seal it off and reinforce it
