Chucky was Team Scream. He use to build Race Motors and Ski's, Got into freestyle scene in the 90's. He is one of the great builders. He is the brains behind the engine building. So, you order a motor now, It is basically old tech. Very Good Old Tech, but I dont see how they will move forward. But how much more can be had?

To my understanding the newer engines are pats style, not chuckys. Playing with different porting etc. Hence the new version of the 1200 once or twice a year.

Yeah I think the name team xscream died a few years back. Once you start firing all your head employees and losing your riders you kind of lose the "team" aspect.

How was "scream" associated with Chucky? What's the story?

Chuckie started and owned Team Scream for many years. It was a full service repair and performance shop. Chuckie is an amazingly gifted ocd mechanic and performance tuner. He built many skis for me back in the day. He built lots of racing skis when jet ski racing was still big. Chuckie has racing in his blood.

Soon after starting JetManiac, Chuckie introduced me to Pat. We started supplying parts to them and became an Xmetal dealer.
Pat Bogart owned a local machining company (Advanced Metal Works) very close to Chuckie’s shop. Pat was a Pro freestyle rider and started XMetal to sell freestyle parts like poles and billet parts. Pat and Chuckie started to work together and started XScream together as partners to focus on the freestyle/freeride market and later primarily on the freestyle market.

In the early days, Chuckie maintained his original location, but eventually moved and did all engine work at the XMetal location. Chuckie’s original shop is where the XS hulls were originally built after Chuckie moved. Chuckie was definately the motor guru behind the XS motors. However, Pat was freestyle guy who had the machine/metal working company and the push into the billet motors. Pat was deeply involved in the motors design and development as well as the ability to ride, test, and push them to the limit and work with Chuckie to make them the best. It was a true partnership that would not have happened without both guys in my opinion.

Eventually there was a falling out and the partnership ended. It is sad that it did not last, they accomplished alot together.

I’ve been with XS for many years now. From the start when it was a huge team until now. Just talked with Pat last week for about Ann hour and plan on riding for him again in 2019.

There is always stuff that people don’t know, I was there when Chuckie was let go as well as Stoyer and I can say it was all justified, and I can say that even being friends with Chuckie and Stoyer.

The C3, C4 and 900rr that I rode in 2013 were Pats idea. They show for themselves on how they perform. He is still making bad ass skis and I can’t wait to hop on his newest setup...as long as I remember how to ride Hahahahah, been over a year since I’ve been on a flat water ski
