Was curious to know what the fine cost are for the following...

-No Fire extinguisher
-Reg. Numbers being too far back on ski.

Does anyone know?

Here is the reason why...

I have yet to be pulled over in at the Jersey Shore while riding my stand-ups for the last 6 years. However, after the fact of putting my reg numbers on I then realized they are supposed to be toward the front.

Also, I installed the lowered hood so now I really do not have a spot for my fire extinguisher.

Is it worth the risk? I feel as though they don't really bother wasting people on Stand-Ups' time because they're a Biatch to pull over ya know.

For an extinguisher, find a square nose holder that mounts to the front of the Tray.. Crab had some brackets made to hold it.. Also doubles as a front hold.. Search on here for them.. You will find them.. Numbers ya gotta keep them forward.. I am not sure of fine's because I only got a warning that mine were messed up last year.. on my ski and boat..

there are ways to mount the extinguisher on the ski so that really should not be a problem. I sell a front toehold that will hold it and other stuff, or some guys strap it to the battery or over it. those numbers are too close together anyway so you would still have been in trouble had you mounted them up front. lol

Wrap your fire extenguisher in turf and zip tie it, then get one of those huge plumbing zip ties and zip it to the left strap on your gas tank (Standing up).

this is a way to do it, but just be aware if it discharges you might lose a motor. if you do it this way and ride the salt I would replace it every year. or at least make sure it isnt corroding. I'm all for saving a buck but compare a motor to any other way to mount it, carry it or even the ticket. and that is not advocating riding without it. I have a friend that it happened to and just want to spread the word.
