I think you're going to fast back into your setup wake for a flip.
Try slowing down right before hitting it. My best attempts have been from near idle.

I'm with Matt try to slow down a little, and make the setup wake a little tighter either S wake or L wake so you get more of a wave to hit.. IMO it's harder to learn setup wakes in choppy water

Your set up wake has no peak, you are hitting a strait wake,
try close your set so you have more peak on your wake

Definitaly hitting the wrong wave, like lucas said tighten that set up wake up. The second wave is were the cash is at. Learning flat water flips suck! but once you get them they are the funnest trick.

Sweet thanks for the info guys. I'll work on my setup wake more. Only got one try today then the engine was alittle off. Gotta work on it tonight and try again after work tomorrow. I know it's hard to tell but does my form look okay?

Def a tighter setup wake. Which will create a steeper lip/ peak like Lucas was saying. When hitting the wave ass should be pretty close to your feet. Then push outyour legs and pull bars to chest and always look with your head back otherwise it will
Kill your form. Jmo. Here's my first day on my q8.

This was yesterdays one try. After that it started running weird. This was before working on my setup wake. Today I spent the day working on my wake, got it alot better

It's got a Team Scream SS865 on it's first bore, rejetted oem 38s on oem manifold, v-force reeds, modded oem cdi, blueprinted 144 oem pump with c-75 13/18 mag prop, tbm super pump cone and x-metal trim

like others said, make more of a V or L setup wake, turn around double back near the wake you just made and hit the second wave. Its all technique, my stunt hull with a bone stock 701 (with b pipe and trim) will get a half backflip with full trim without and body input, that thing with a 865 should go round with no problem!
