fixed steer rn sj, good surf ski?

Hey guys, a buddy is considering building a fixed steer rn sj for surf jumping. I haven't ever ridden one, to those that have, would you consider this a good ski for fresh water surf jumping? He is looking to barrel roll, surf ride etc with a bolt on 701. Thanks!

Don't do it bro. They suck!

I love mine, flips and rolls great. Surf rides really well. Flips in 2-3 foot surf with no trim and a 701 with ease, and does even better in the big stuff.

Mine will be in Daytona, is open for test rides, and is also for sale. Let me know if you want to take it for a rip.

I shouldn't be at Daytona this year, but if for some reason I do, I'd love to try a fixsteer superjet. I'll pay for fuel and wear when its accepted.

Bruce ski, pm me with specifics on your ski. Thanks for the info, looks awesome! Who currently makes fixed steer hoods for the sj and how do I contact them?

Fixed steers are a blast in the surf. Paired with tubbies they carve very hard. I could see myself building another in the future.
