flame arestor

Wondering what you guys thought is the best flame arestor for a 44m sbn, if there are any big differences. I've looked at K&n, westcoast, ocean pro. What offers the best protection against water too. Thanks

I've heard that the k&n work the best, but i also heard that if you get those weat you're screwed. I've seen those covers that you can put over the aftermarket arestors.. does anyone know if those work good?

I have a K&N cone flame arrestor and it SUCKS!!!! It's fine for racing, but it is suck ass balls for riding in the surf. I'd get less water in my engine if I took off the flame arrestor and hooked a water hose to my carb.

K&N SUCKS!!!!

K&N blew up the engine in my quad.
K&N blew up my 650.
K&N tried to blow up my 750.

K&N is great if you are looking for the absolute most power and want to baby them and maintain them constantly. I don't think the performance gains are worth it.

ive tried the fly racing set up with outer wears. they are great for rec riding and your motor will turn a few more rpm s but soon as you do a sub or fountain, she will get a big ole drink of water. thats my personal experience with them
