Why does everyone want to go to surf events and ride flatwater?

im not going to a surf event to ride flatwater...i am just asking, i knew that they had a flatwater day in the spring....i was not able to make it out to that....so all i am doing is asking if it is going on again.....im going to this event to ride surf...if i wanted to ride flatwater i would just ride at the local lake.....

Sorry If it came off as calling you out specifically, it was more of a blanket statement. I've seen it happen at a few freerides before. Just makes me wonder.

best place to ride flatwater is at 64th st., you just gotta watch out for the no wake zone. They changed spots due to people not abiding by the no wake zone in the past.. But, Portsmouth is 30 minutes away which is where it was held earlier this year and very few showed up

Best flat water friday is at Daytona, come to wavedaze for the surf ;-)
