Flesh eating bacteria

Is this stuff just around the Gulf Coast or is it in lakes to?

Salt water not so much lakes mostly if it doesn't move and is warm water and if you stir up the bottom I ride lakes only and I'm still here

I did some reading and from what I read it's just in Salt or brackish water not fresh and if you get it best case scenario you lose an arm or leg worst case dead it's not worth the risk if you ask me ..... I'll stay in the fresh

Theres been cases of the brain eating amoeba in some lakes down here in south florida. The flesh eating is in fact in salt water

I heard the flesh eating is mostly in the Gulf. Some people are saying its because of the disbursement chemical they used to make the oil "disappear" after BP. Up in IL we have had lakes closed for months due to a toxic blue-green algae that can be fatal. But lets be honest you are way more likely to die in an accident on the way to ride or even by choking while stuffing your face after riding.
