Foaming and pole shortening

2 questions

first. After refoaming the tray do you intstall the old chuck of fiberglass back then mat overit with fiberglass or leave it out and just put new fiberglass

second.....sn pole stock is it possible to shorten it and how

1. You can do it either way. Some prefer the fresh start of laying glass instead of re-using old pieces.

2. It's possible, but it's a labor-intensive pain in the ass that ends up looking funky. You'd be better off getting a used RN pole to shorten and install.

Do a search on Roundnose pole conversions.
There are a few ways to go about this.
You can use the stock bracket with the stock bolt and some thicker bushings, or buy a stock or aftermarket roundnose pole bracket (requires drilling on the hull & hood, some custom work), or buy a conversion bracket, or make your own.

i glassed the whole thing. 2 layers of nytex with extra strips in the corners. its solid.
