Foothold Chafing

I rode my ski for the first time w/o a wetsuit and my foothold basically rubbed the skin off the outside of my legs above my ankle. Anyone else have this problem? I was thinking of finding a used wetsuit and cutting the legs off about 8-10" from the bottom.

Yeah that's pretty common. Holds like the REV's that have an ankle cut out are the worst for this. I got around this problem with dive booties instead of regular shoes but neoprene socks would work too.
