Looking for a set of motor mounts that are around 10mm shorter (3/8th roughly) than Oem SJ style mounts or about 12mm shorter than Couch mounts.

No, I cannot take more off the bottoms than I have and no I cannot take the bed plates down any further. No I cannot move the mounts out any further. Yes rhass makes 3 shorter mounts with 3/8ths being the shortest. I’ve been on the phone with them a few times I’m not sure if they’re going to be able to source me any such short notice and I am real desperate.
10mm shorter will give me clearance to be able to shim and run proper non hacked up bed plates.
If someone has some laying around you’d be a life saver.

Thanks

550 Mounts?????????? Just throwing it out there. Dont know of shorter. See if Rhass can make some?
Angle wouldn’t work on the 550’s If I recall off the top of my noggin..
they’re working with me here, he was saying something about seeing if he could source some for me that were RTG but I’m assuming that isn’t going so well after not hearing back twice. I’m sure they’ll make me some but I would like to have this ski ready for the week long lake trip at the end of the month, didn’t think my alignment would f me like this

Somewhere I have a set of Rhaas shortened mounts I am going to use on my Waveblaster ll but those are only like 1/8" shorter , I have swapped a lot of stuff around but you are correct the JS mounts are the wrong bolt pattern plus 300-440-550 mounts are flat, the 650-750 mounts have a similar bolt pattern but the angle is wrong .

Seadoo 587-720 mounts are flat like the 550 mounts and have the same bolt pattern as 550 mounts but are slightly shorter, 787-951 mounts are the wrong bolt pattern and the wrong angle., Artic cat mounts are flat and have a much larger bolt pattern. , Polaris mounts are also flat and the wrong bolt pattern plus the mounting studs are huge , I checked and the Left side of the 750 mounts hit the hull and would have to be trimmed to even bolt down to the hull.

The right side clears just fine, also the 750 mounts have 10mm bolts and when you install the 750 mounts into the hull the distance center to center on the holes is way different, I came up with about 13 1/4" on the couch mounts versus 14 1/2 on the 750 mounts, and I came up with a height of 2 3/4" on the couch mounts and 2 1/8" on the 750 mounts , I hope some of this info helps you out.

The only other mounts I can think of are WR500 WR650 LX mounts I have one here but I am not sure how easy it will be to get a measurement with the engine still in it .I have several at the other shop with the engine already removed that I can check on Saturday for you.

The Seadoo 787 mount is close but the angle is wrong and the bolt pattern is not wide enough with a Redneck milling machine, AKA a side grinder they could be made to work by notching out the mounting holes and angled the bedplate , at least temporarily they are 2 1/4 inches in height. so you could possibly make some adaptors up out of 1/8" aluminum plate and mount them or angle grind the bottom to match the bedplate

I have a set of rhaas motor mounts that he made 3/8 of an inch shorter for a backie Chan I redid the bottom and motor mount plates on. I'd be willing to ship them to you to use for your trip if you ship them back afterwards as they are the only mount that will work in that hull and I plan to build it again someday. I could ship them out priority tomorrow.

If you’re willing to let me borrow them I’d for sure compensate you for helping me out.
I will call and bother them again tomorrow to see what the outlook is and get back to you.
Thank you

Custom bedplates? Cut the ears off. Weld aluminum plate to the top side to make new ones that step up. Then use couch mounts. Bedplates are cheap.
Unfortunately I have the welding skills of a toddler and I’m not sure if I could have my fab guy get something whipped up in time
I think spark plugs got me covered for the moment !
