Four wheeler?

So I am looking at picking up a quad soon to ride at my friends trails. I've been looking at the Raptors or YZF450. Does anyone have any experience with any quad or have a recommendation?

I bought a 400ex a while back for 1500 and am pretty pleased for the price wish I had a 450. As for the raptor they are out handled by the 450 by a long shot.

I had a 400ex pretty well set up for around 1600 and they are wheelie machines. They have a very easy balance point and are very reliable. Your not gonna beat any 450s but for the money they are fun.

ef the 4 pokes and buy a banshee. sure it doesn't turn great or handle like the new 450 but is still spanks them. someone told me the new 450's where fast. i guess my banshee is fast too.

I have a KFX 450 09 and its a beast all stock . very light quad and fast, Will keep up and even beat a built raptor 700 till about 55 and then run out of gear. Test ride one!!!!

I have about 4g in to my TRX but Im up in canada and prices are higher than in the states. 07 plus have electric start , i have never had any problems and i hate kicking over big 450's especially when its cold out.

marc your trx is a nice machine, outhandles the banshee but i was suprised how slow it was. haha. me and marc had two races. the first race i got him, and the second race he launched in 2nd and i had to catch him the entire way. i was just beside him and pulling 5th ready to goto 6th and he let off for the ditch. he was in 4th so he had a gear left too. i think the banshee would have pulled right past you and toped out 6th then you would out run me topping out your 5th. good race, we shall do it again soon as the snow melts.

i had a banshee for a long time and i would get a 450 over it any day. the banshees great in the sand but other than that, its truly an out dated machine. the suspension sucks. the seat sucks but the power is so damn fun. the 450s are set up in attack mode and ready for jumps and comfortable riding at a fast pace. feels more like your sitting on a bike than a quad.

but if it were me id get a bike over a quad aaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day. :)

if i got a four stroke i really like the kawasaki 450. The frame is tight like a bike. the banshee is forever the funnest quad to me but yeah it is so dated, kinda like the superjet was. yamaha did a heck of a job with the banshee and still is a very fast quad compared to the four strokes. mine is stock except for timing advance and smaller drive sprocket but i would like some suspension upgrades to fix its stance. i don't know why i have always liked quads, bike are way better. i just always liked four wheels even though i like using two of them.
