if the boat is too big, the wave is too round and not steep enough. hull shape has a lot to do with it too. narrow big boats cut thru the water and make a lousy double wake. big wide ones are the best. the smaller the boat, the more power you need. my freak with that perfectly setup dasa 800 is perfect for bigger than wake board boats and chasing. i always just laugh when somebody buys an AM hull and then throws some gutless superjet package at it. if you spend enough time trying flat water, the best thats going to happen, is barely getting around on a flip. what fun is that? about 1000CCs is what i think the smallest flat water power plant should be and thats too much for anything bigger than fishing or wakeboard boat wakes. learn to do rolls on your superjet and skip the AM hull until you have a worthy powerplant.
