I'd say, as a permanent option. I have straps and like um, plenty of guy use um. Much less expensive, easy to install, very functional! I didn't want the big cost and tear up on the ski. I ride lakes and hit big boat wake.

I put lifter wedges in for a temporary solution and have been very happy with them. I can do nose stabs and subs. Maybe when I start going for backflips I'll need real footholds, but until my skills get there, these have been fine.

Hey sxi steve, if you had to install those footholds again, would you do them even or offset? I just got a pair and was looking how people were setting them up. I DO like how you mounted one side to the tray wall. Makes a little more room for boots I imagine.
