Freestyle/Freeride boots From Hyperlite?

Hey X-members,

I picked up a set of Hyperlite Marek Boots and they fit perfect in my WDK Footholds...

Anyone think this is a bad idea to use these (flatwater or surf)?

I have to button up my ski before I can test them, but these boots could save my ankles and my back

They look kind of ridiculous but if they work who knows, they could become the new norm. I have terribly bad ankles, I don't know how these young guys do it? I need a suspention on my ski

a pair of those, a sickerling helmet, black wetsuit now all i need is a black cape and I'm ridin with the force bit#@es HA HAdv.jpg

They are Hyperlite's System Bindings for wakeboards.

It's a two-part system derived from snowboarding. I bought the whole system for my wakeboard, but noticed they weren't super large like snowboard boots are and tried them on with my footholds. They fit snug, but you cannot have padding or it might be too snug.

Here is what they look like by the board, I'll have pics of them in the WDK footholds tomorrow...

They have cheaper ones and other designs without the BOA system (The button-looking thing that you turn to tighten the boots with).

The BOA clears my hull (SN SJ) but I don't know about others...

Cool boots, and the ankle support looks great.

But they kinda remind me of something....

Lol... Well they fit fine.

You're going to want padding even with the boots I would think. Looks like even turf would make it to small for them. I wouldn't build my ski specifically around a pair of shoes. Especially ones that may not be readily available when you lose one at a freeride-been there. Wrestling shoes are easy to swim in and fairly easy to find/replace. I like the ankle support of these, that's about it.
