Paul can you tell me what rpm your ski is getting at the moment up top
Also what jets are in your carbs
as if you are slightly rich you can bange a couple more degrees in it and get it to hit harder down low

Wax,
Havent had a chance to get a tach on it yet. I guess I could play with lowering the rev limiter until it starts hitting it. I have it set to 8200 rpm and Im not hitting that.
I have dual 44 novis with a 2.0 n/s 85g spring @ 22 psi popoff
Low screw 3/4 out
125 low jet
115main
1 3/4 out on high screw

yeah maybe if i sold more ignitions i could do it
I was going to try and put it together with my type 9
v force reeds
light weight fly wheel and 48 novis
i have everything ready to go except the light weight flywheel
the ski has a 12 vien i was hoping for something like 64 mph to scare the c@#p out of me

Darren Hedlund mentioned either in a chat or a post on pwctoday that on Yamahas he always ended up around 15-16 degrees final timing.

Here is the curve i run in my type 9 race boat
its work very well
i still want to play with more advance down low but other than that it pulls hard
the boat will pull 7600rpm
