Freshen up engine before selling or not?

I'd like to get peoples thoughts on freshening up an engine before listing it for sale.

Our Dasa 1000 has served us well and is a great engine, but we are stepping up to a 1200, so we need to sell the 1000. We have Dasa go thru it every 50hrs of use and even though it still has 180/180 compression it's time for a refresh.

Would people rather pay more and buy an engine with a new top end or would you rather buy it for less money and do the refresh yourself?

I would rather buy the parts a cheaply as possible and do the assembly myself. Most owners can't throw an anchor.
