Blaster Fuel line mod/ air in gas?

Is this a bad idea? As you can c very little fuel and mostly air in filter. image.jpg I never have run a filter any other place other than just an inch or so before the carb. The stock hood breather hose comes to close to fuel filter next to carb so I made more room and moved filter next to tank. Also thought about a check valve screen attached to end of hose laying in bottom of tank to avoid possible air in fuel. I like to run a half tank to lighten front end so what is the easiest solution for air elimination, does anyone use those tank sponges?

It shouldn't be a problem unless you want to run wide open for extended runs. The only way to eliminate air is with an extra pump and header tank.

i have air in mine all the time. its those big filters. they don't get a chance to fill up. mine runs great. if the air gets to the carbs, you'll know real quick.

Ya I bled air out of filter with air pressure through tank. Should be ok until my fuel level drops below pick up. I just need to lower my fuel pickup on both main and reserve.
