Fuel selector in AM hull

i just bought a BOB hull and it doesn't have a hole for the fuel selector to change from ON to RES. Should I drill a new hole or just run fuel lines directly to the carb? I have a cart tank but it might be too small for me (2.5 gal). I live on a 600 acre lake and like having the reserve option in case I get low on fuel. I also might run an internal fill system with the SJ tank or a 550 tank. Anyone have the same thought or advice on the issue? Thanks!

The first thing I remove off a new ski is the fuel selector. Been riding with no reserve for 6 years now and haven't been stranned once due to no fuel. Whenever the tank gets low my ski will cutout/loose power when I turn or go for a jump, so then I know it's time to head in, happen to me once when i was over a mile from the loading ramp and still made it in. This technique may not work on a small tank. Since your running a 701, a stock tank should fit?

A stock tank would fit but I don't have an internal fuel filler for it. A cart tank came with the ski so I was just weighing my options. I like to cruise around, do tricks and chase boats full of girls on my lake so I'm thinking 45 min ride time just wouldn't cut it. It wouldn't be fun for me since I live at the back of a no wake cove (feels like forever until I reach the buoy). I have seen some DIY fuel fillers and I might look into that or just pay the $180 for a cold fusion filler
